Okai’s May Favourites

I know there’s been a lack of chart-posting recently. But here we go again..my May favs so far through all tastes..no particular order (in fact my itunes add-order)..

The Krays feat. Ebony Bones “We’re Ready When You Are (DJ Mehdi Rmx)” (mp3 @ Beatport)
Yuksek and Brodinski’s project. Like their remixes in the past, now they go an some italo-housy-rap stuff. Appreciated, more of that.

N.E.R.D. & Nelly Furtado “Hot-N-Fun” (video)
Good comeback track. A grower.

Reflection Eternal & Estelle “Midnight Hour” (video) and this (mp3 via SS)
Swinging. Can’t wait for the LP.

The Pack “Wolfpack Party” (mp3 @ amazon)
Bounce.

J. Cole “Who Dat” (mp3 via 2dope)
J. Cole is my man. Good to see more people are convinced, he’s going to step his game up.

M.I.A. “XXXO” (mp3 @ amazon)
For me it was big news, hearing that one of my most fav producer from the US is going to do things with M.I.A. Maybe 2010 is the breakthrough year for Blaqstarr.

(mp3 via AP) and this (Main version video)
Pase Rock is visiting us in October, Neidklub, Hamburg. Going to be huge. The main version rocks as well, but spiders disco touch gives it the little something.

Oh my. Pump it loud. He’s so creative, you always get something new.

Flight Facilities “Grave You (T&F Dub)” (mp3 @ Beatport)
Just the right song for the approaching summer.

Malente & Dex “Habibi” (mp3 @ Beatport)
Dex kicked this when the Acid Kids and I were playing at the 3rd Neidklub anniversary. This is just my stuff – deep and funky.

Gossip “LLL (Riva Starr Dub)” (mp3 @ Amazon)
Riva Starr is ruling my electronic sets at the moment, just the the right mix of tension and thickness.

Simian Mobile Disco “Cruel Inentions (Greg Wilson Edit)” (mp3 @ Beatport)
Wow. Cruel Intentions was the standout track from the last SMD-LP, now there comes a late but excellent Disco-stlye-remix from Greg Wilson.

Strip Steve “Breakin” (Lorenz Rhode Rmx) (mp3 @ Beatport)
The original version is a bit lame. What Lorenz Rhode squeezes out of it, amazing. Pure and funky.

Jamtech Foundation “Too Fast (Zombie Disco Squad Rmx)” (mp3 @ Beatport)
Sinden played this two weeks ago and yesterday they rocked the baalsaal: Zombie Disco Squad. Their output has such a decent quality.

Brodinski “Arnold Classics (Egyptrixx Remix)” (mp3 @ Juno)
Egyptrixx’ Battle for North America was one of the standout tracks last month, really interesting style he kicks, lets see what he’ll bring up in the future..
