Totally forgot to introduce the studio project “foxes + okami” I’m doing with my brother from another mother Roland Bogdahn (aka Syncopix, the man with quite some d&b fame). If we two would have more time we could spend at studio, I’m sure there would have been a boxload of quality releases already. But we’re slow cookers instead. Check out our Soundcloud page to get an impression where we are travelling around - deep soulful house music with a few nods to bass, garage and ukfunky.
We two are playing Mojo Club tonight. You can expect the aforementioned sound and two cheerful guys behind the decks.
Tonite I have the great pleasure to share the decks at Mojo Club with Jacques Renault and Simon Strotmann (Common Cause). Jacques has released a lot of stuff on labels like Throne of Blood, Future Classic, Permanent Vacation, DFA and Rekids which has been on heavy rotation in my sets. Not to mention the music which has been released on the lables where he’s involved in like On the Prowl, OTP Party Breaks and Let’s Play House. One of the recent favourites out of his hands is the atmospheric masterwork “Back to You”.
I know. There has been a major lack of updates recently. I’ve not been sitting around quietly but had way enough to do elsewhere. two kids, dissertation, job – i could need another weekday. Nevertheless there are some things going on and as well es being up to date on this here place again I’ll bring these up in the next weeks. First and most important thing: I’ll be part of Frequencies Residents team at the new Mojo Club which makes me really proud. Speaking of the Mojo – tomorrow is the grand opening party and I have the honour to play there. More infos on that matter and anything else soon.
Didn’t have much time the last couple of weeks. Life was strong and still is. I had favourites nevertheless, so here we go…
Tonight Hamburg is the place for soul loving house music listeners. First stop of the night will be homebase Baalsaal. My main man Doctor Dru will be there celebrating the release of his first solo record on Exploited’s Black Jukebox Label. His masterpiece “The Voice Of Dru” is gaining already much deserved attention on Beatport and RA. Well done buddy. And if that’s not enough personal favourites and Exploited labelmates Cocolores will be on his left hand side accompanying him through the evening. Check clips benath for some inspiration.
Dead Rose Music Society – Faith (Lovebirds Edit)

Big things poppin. Amsterdam-households Homework are coming to town again. Really glad to play with these guys with Exploited and Made To Play fame. So many good releases. Here’s some inspiration, see you on saturday.
Download their party sureshot edit of Lenny Kravitz here in 320 after subscribing to Exploited’s mailing list.
There are two good reasons to come to Baalsaal on saturday. Firstly, the awesome mister Alistair Heron aka Ooft! is coming. The Revenge used to be a part of Ooft! and both are still doing their thing, which means a hell lot of good edits and remixes, disco to deep house to slo mo house and what not. And secondly I’m goin to play together with my man Roland B. We have formed the new producer project „Foxes & Okami“. It’s all about discodeephouse and the like. Expect some more infos on that project here soon.
And get some fresh and free edits in 320 here.
