Had the pleasure to get to know Sinden last week. We played together at the Neidklub which was not packed like I thought it would be. Too sad many people prefered SebastiAn or free drink parties over that fantastic booking. But glad to see, as I found out over a bottle of good Riesling, Sinden’s also deeply into 90′s indie rap as well as the well produced southern club stuff. And we had an awesome conversation about b-sides from club-rap-promos that nobodody knows, although they rock – would be a nice theme for a compilation, the really obscure stuff.
I’m real big fan of Sinden’s productions since “Beeper” (of course) and the infamous “Hustlin B’More Remix“. Speaking of last, I only had that UK bootleg with the subtle title “Baltimore Classics” until last week, but the sound quality of the mixes aren’t the best. So glad Sinden gave me the OG version. Still celebratin it:
If you didn’t know: Sinden’s got a label, Grizzly, and the first two releases are really ruling the blogs right know (top 1 & 3 in the grindin charts!). Egyptrixx‘ top 1 remix is also my fav cut from the Brodinsky EP. Check:
And last but not least Sinden handed me the awesome rework of Hot City’s “Elephant” from him and Hervé aka the Count to share. Slick joint, thick 320:
